We know running a small nonprofit can be hard. You start or join an organization to make a difference, and all of a sudden you have to raise money, write a budget, find volunteers and so much more. And did anyone say anything about throwing a pandemic on top of that!?
Nonprofit Radio Show LIVE is live version of the Nonprofit Radio Show podcast. Co-hosted by nonprofit veterans Nancy Bacon and Sarah Brooks, the Nonprofit Radio Show focuses on what is most on the minds of nonprofit people, particularly working within small, rural nonprofits. Nonprofit Radio Show LIVE makes space for your questions, our answers, and crowd-sourced conversation with this community of friends and colleagues doing our communities’ most important work. Don’t expect a PowerPoint or anything script. Do expect some fun.
If you have a question in advance, email Nancy and Sarah. You can also ask questions and share experiences during the show. The Show will be recorded for future podcast broadcasting.
Presenters
Nancy Bacon is equal parts nonprofit person and teacher. She has worn every hat possible at small nonprofits for several decades. She is also an educator who thinks a lot about how to move people to action. Nancy has created widely-used curricula on a potpourri of nonprofits topics, including boards, finance, law, liquor law, and most recently ethics and how to get a bank loan. Nancy served on the team that created the Central Washington Conference for the Greater Good in 2014.
Sarah Brooks is a passionate believer in the superpowers of small nonprofits. A fundraiser and leader in a rural nonprofit in Eastern Washington, Sarah sees so much potential in the grassroots, community-based organizations that tackle so many issues people care about. She’s a practical do-er and a relentless cheerleader for anyone brave enough to make a career in a small nonprofit.
