MAY 24, 2022 from 10:00-11:30am | ONLINE
With Melanie Montgomery & Skye Mercer
Pull up a chair and grab a cup of tea for a fireside Zoom chat with HR and leadership coaches Melanie Montgomery and Skye Mercer. They will explore how we as leaders can create a “People Strategy” focused on empowerment and equity. Melanie and Skye will address the challenges that hold back many of our organizations: burnout, recruitment/retainment, wage pressure, and succession planning, highlighting the need for humility, vulnerability, and joy in leadership. They’ll invite you into a conversation about what’s needed to create a “People Strategy” that inspires employees to stay and do their best work.
Melanie and Skye will be discussing:
- Equity in leadership – how our personal biases show up in our people strategy decisions
- Tips for pay equity and equitable hiring practices based on nonprofit industry trends
- Strategies for creating a pipeline of staff through cultivating knowledge and expertise in others (hint: nurturing not gatekeeping)
Our goal is that you leave this conversation with practical steps to create workspaces that are inclusive, appropriately compensated, and more joyful for everyone working within them.
